Passing Time While I Work

Working from home has it pros and cons (I get to work in my PJs, I’m always at the office, etc.). One of the cons you grow tired of listening to the same music over and over again. Although I have an extensive music collection, when you’re in front of a computer as often as I am, the old music gets older and the new music doesn’t seem to keep up. It gets worse when you hear the same music in your car while driving and working out at the gym.

So to help me pass the time as I type my ones and zeros I have decided to use video as my background noise. So far I have watched the following series in their entirety:

  • Six Feet Under
  • Dexter
  • Futurama
  • Family Guy

I decided to start with Six Feet Under as I had already seen season one and wanted to see it through to the conclusion. After that I chose Dexter as one of its stars, Michael C. Hall, played the main characters, Dexter. After that I polished of all 72 Futurama Episodes and and all six seasons of Family Guy.

Having run out of TV shows to watch I decided to move on to movies. The movies I have seen so far include:

  • Knocked Up
  • The Mist
  • Jumper
  • Pirates of the Caribbean - At World’s End
  • Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs

I’m sure this list will continue to grow until I run out of movies to watch or I decide that I’m bored with movies and want to listen to music again. Until then, if anyone has any suggestions for TV shows or movies I should be watching please let me know.

I hear ya. I work on the computer all day too. I have to listen to my co-worker’s radio station for most of the day and they play the same songs over and over again.

Arrested Development. Fantastically funny. And Freaks and Geeks - one of the best high school shows ever.

Watch weeds. It’s funny and you have 3 back seasons to catch up on so that should last like a week :)
